Before you book
Is this a ceramic coating?
No, and the difference is the whole answer. A real coating is a two-to-three-year product that needs the paint corrected first and a controlled space to cure in, and it means standing behind the finish for two to three years. This is a spray that lasts about six months. If a coating is what you want, we will point you at someone who does them.
Which package should I put it on?
It makes most sense on a full detail, where the paint has just been decontaminated and polished, because a sealant only performs as well as the surface under it. On an express wash it still works, it just has less to hold on to.
Do I need to do anything afterwards?
No, and there is nothing to buy. Wash it normally. The sealant wears rather than fails, so it fades out over the six months instead of coming off in one go.
Are you insured?
Not yet, and we would rather say so here than have you find out at the door. Lunova is new and general liability cover is being put in place — until it is, we are not taking work that requires a certificate of insurance, and we will tell you before you book if that affects your job. Everything else on this site stands: flat-rate pricing confirmed before we start, nothing charged at booking, and The Lunova Redo if the work is not right.
